Soap & Glory lid stuff eyeshadow palette in smokey dokey

This is a palette of 4 fab shades of eyeshadow with a flawless finish & 8 hour wear eyeshadow that claims not to flake, fade or crease.
In this particular palette is a creamy beige shimmer, nude shimmer, dark grey matt & glittery charcoal colour in individual tablets.
Some friends as well as myself put this product to the test. We all agreed that we liked the silky texture of the make up & the colours were nice, especially the shimmery cream, nude & glitter charcoal for an understated smoky-eye look. The colours blend & work well together on the eyelid & the look acheived is very modern.
I cannot say hand on heart that the claim of 8 hour wear is true, as we only wore it for 5 or 6 hours on a night out. However, in this time, we did not touch up the eyeshadow once & no, it did not crease, flake or fade. It's not the thinnest palette in the world as far as eyeshadows go, so if you had a tiny clutch bag, you were limited on how you could carry this around with you.
For £10 this is not a bad buy & we loved the texture. even the glittery shadow was not as rough as some other glitter ones on the market. 6.5/10. Many thanks to Louisa Chibnall & Jess Hutchings who helped with this blog.

Soap & Glory 'Show good Face' foundation & primer in one

I don't normally wear primer or foundation, just a bit of fake tan or tinted moisturiser, so when I was asked to try this product, I was sceptical. However, this has completely turned round my attitude to using such a product like the 2-in-1 foundation & primer for the greater good.

It was not too thick & not too watery, just the right consistency to look sheer & filled in any unwanted pores to give a flawless look. I applied it with my fingers like a moisturiser, but a sponge can also be used. The colour I used for my fairish skin was 'a nude peach', but obviously it does come in other shades. It lasted a good few hours without any touch ups & this product under make up was great for gliding on your eye make up easily, illuminator & even on the lips before applying lipstick. Any mistakes I made with my make up, rubbed away easily with no trace thanks to this. It's a really good base for a day or night look to give a flawless look & a handy small 30ml size for slipping discreetly into your handbag. 9/10. I'll definately be buying this for future usage!

Soap & Glory 'The Daily Double' review.

'The daily double' by Soap & Glory is a double-ended thick pencil with shimmery nude lidshadow one end & a smoky black eyeliner the other end. They are designed to work together well in colour & ease to apply in one handy stick.
I found this concept of using the 2 ends in harmony to compliment each other easy to grasp & the colours glided on & seemed to blend effortlessly.

The texture of the pencils was quite silky & luxurious & they were quite fat in diameter so only a few strokes were needed to acheive a smoky-eye look. More of the nude lid shadow could be applied to give a daytime look.
I took the Daily double on a night out clubbing & it hardly ran at all under sweaty, humid conditions & even when I had to walk outside in the wind which made my eyes water a little, there was minimal smudging.
The all-in-one stick made it handy to pop into my small bag & I only touched up the eyeliner once all night.
On the whole, a nifty little product with a reasonable price tag. I'd give it 8/10.

Soap & Glory Motherpucker lip gloss

This product has got some fab colours in the range & claims to plump your lips to create a sexy pout without the need for fillers.
Me & my friend went for a night out clubbing & used this to add shine & fullness to our pouts. There was a mixed reaction. after about 2 minutes my lips felt very tingly, like I'd been eating hot chillis & my friend had this feeling after about 5 minutes. By this point our lips should have looked fuller & maybe inviting to some men?! However, this was not the case & we could not see much difference to the size at all. After less than 10 minutes the feeling had gone & we were left with a nice shimmering colour that stayed moist for quite a while.

It is also quite sticky, but most lip-glosses are I suppose. The applicator wand is a good size & shape for easy application, even after a few cheeky drinks.
However on the whole I cannot justify this being around £10 on the price tag and we would only give it a 4/10 in a generous mood.
Many thanks to Louisa Chibnall who helped with this review.
